An Ace Hardware store in Jackson, Mo., that recently underwent remodeling will host a grand re-opening celebration April 22-24.
Ken’s Ace Hardware, located at 426 E. Main St., will host the celebration from Friday, April 22, through Sunday, April 24, the store said on Facebook.
“Stop by and see all the new items we have brought into the store,” the Facebook post said. “Plus, sample food cooked on the most popular brands in BBQ: Traeger, Big Green Egg, Blackstone, Weber and more! Check out the latest in outdoor powered equipment. Stihl and Ego will be showing off demonstrations on battery-powered tools.”
One of over 5,000 Ace stores locally owned and operated in the world, Ken’s Ace Hardware has a mission of helping neighbors, its website said.
Matt Fluegge, the store's manager, said in a statement that the store’s mission is to give customers “neighborly advice and assistance.”
An example of Ken’s Ace Hardware’s neighborliness is the Backyard BBQ Raffle it is hosting through Sunday, April 24, to benefit St. Louis Children's Hospitals and SSM Health Care Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital, according to Fluegge’s Facebook page.
With headquarters in Oak Brook, Ill., Ace was “the 13th fastest-growing U.S.-based retailer between 2019 and 2020,” a news release said.
Having a population of 15,481, Jackson is considered “the fastest growing community in Southeast Missouri,” the city website said.
