According to the National Drought Mitigation Center, Bollinger County Missouri is considered SEVERLY DRY.

According to the National Drought Mitigation Center, Bollinger County Missouri is considered SEVERLY DRY.

As of now, Bollinger County nor the State of Missouri has not issued a Burn Ban or Burn Warning - we will update if this does occur.

However, I urge residents to not burn or start fires for any reason, for the safety of our city and residents.   During these extremely dry conditions and increased winds fire can become out of control and spread quickly.   Please use caution when putting out cigarettes or cigars as well.

I have attached below the latest report received by the National Drought Mitigation Center as well as a screen shot of today's report.

I appreciate your consideration in this matter.  I will join the residents of our city, county, and our state as we pray for rain and for this drought to end.

Thank you,

Mayor Trey Wiginton
