There is no official trick-or-treat time in Cape, but there are fun events through Monday. Drop your favorite traditions and trunk-or-treats in the comments to share with other families!
Halloween is Monday Talk with your goblins about Halloween safety, and how simple precautions can make it a fun and safe night for kids of all ages. There is no official schedule (date/time) for celebrating trick-or-treating in Cape Girardeau. You can trick or treat until your heart’s content!
Here are some Halloween safety tips to make your celebration a happy, safe, and fun one:
Don’t be invisible like a ghost, wear reflective items or clothing
Look for cars and low-flying brooms before crossing the street
Carry a flashlight to keep vampires away and to see at night
Walk, slither and sneak on sidewalks, not in streets
Don’t eat candy or drink magic potions until inspected by an adult
Don’t eat any unwrapped candy, treats, or chocolate-covered crickets
Safety in numbers just like zombies, stay with a group
Stick with your familiar haunts and neighborhoods
Expect to see creepy clowns and have a hauntingly good time
Ghouls and ghosts can be scary for pets. Remember to keep them safe, too
P.S. We recommend doubling the candy for those kiddos dressed as police officers
