4.6% of citizens unemployed in Perry County in 2021

Perry County recorded an unemployment rate of 4.6% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 444 people out of the 19,007 living in Perry County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Perry County has increased compared to the 4.3% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Perry County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 4.5%.

Of the 9,139 people who had a job during that time, 61 were employed in the Armed Forces and 9,078 belonged to the civilian labor force.
