U.S. Representative Jason Smith (Mo.) recently congratulated four students from the 8th Congressional District in Missouri who have been accepted to attend U.S. service academies. Hayden Kissinger, Sam Lancaster, Eric Pinson, and Evan Fuller have all received appointments to prestigious military institutions. Smith expressed his pride in their achievements, stating, “I’m incredibly proud of these bright young men for earning a spot at one of our nation’s highly competitive service academies.”

Smith highlighted the exceptional qualities of the students, emphasizing their academic excellence and leadership skills both in school and in their communities. He commended them for their commitment to serving and giving back, noting that they are well-prepared to embark on a career in military service. Smith expressed his confidence in their future success, saying, “I know they have a very bright future ahead and I’m excited to see what they will accomplish.”

The congressman hosted a celebratory dinner for the appointees and their families in St. James, Missouri, on April 21, 2024, where he posed for photos with the students. Smith is currently accepting applications for 2025 nominations to various service academies, including the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Air Force Academy, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. Interested individuals can contact Smith’s Farmington office for more information on the nomination process. The deadline for submissions is October 30, 2024.
