As the leader of the House Republicans' impeachment inquiry, I have been actively involved in uncovering details about the Biden family's alleged business dealings. Under my leadership, the Ways and Means Committee has brought forward testimony from two IRS whistleblowers who claimed that the Department of Justice (DOJ) obstructed an investigation into President Joe Biden's son, Hunter Biden. The whistleblowers also indicated that President Biden was not truthful when he said he was unaware of his son's business activities.

On May 22, the Ways and Means Committee, which I chair, voted to release over 100 pages of evidence suggesting that Hunter Biden lied under oath to Congress on multiple occasions. According to this new evidence, Hunter Biden made false statements in at least three separate instances to distance himself from what appears to be a scheme to financially benefit the Biden family. Lying under oath is a felony offense that has led to prosecutions in recent years. The American public expects accountability for everyone equally, including the president's son.

The evidence indicates that Hunter Biden believes there are two systems of justice: one for his family and one for others. He initially refused to comply with a subpoena until threatened with criminal contempt and then allegedly lied before Congress. These actions raise questions about other aspects of his testimony.

The newly released evidence supports claims by IRS whistleblowers who were directly involved in investigating Hunter Biden’s tax evasion case. Frustrated by DOJ interference, these officials provided crucial evidence to the Ways and Means Committee, forming the basis of House Republicans' impeachment inquiry into President Biden. This evidence suggests that Hunter Biden and his associates made millions by selling access to Joe Biden internationally; it also contradicts Joe Biden's denials of knowledge or involvement and indicates DOJ efforts to hinder the investigation.

Despite these revelations, Washington Democrats continue to ignore serious allegations against President Biden and his family, prioritizing protection for Joe Biden while targeting former President Donald Trump. Historical actions against Trump include accusations involving Russia collusion, two impeachments, ballot exclusions in blue states (later blocked by the Supreme Court), and attempts at imprisonment.

Using government resources against political opponents while shielding allies is reminiscent of tactics seen in less democratic nations. However, I remain committed to defending conservative values, rural lifestyles, and fundamental freedoms.
