In a tweet posted at 11:50 AM UTC, Smith expressed concern over violence committed by illegal immigrants against Americans. He stated, "Time and time again we’ve seen violence against Americans at the hands of illegal immigrants." He further criticized Democrats for allegedly prioritizing the interests of violent illegal aliens over public safety.

Later that day, at 4:17 PM UTC, Smith highlighted the benefits of a proposed legislative measure known as the One, Big, Beautiful Bill. According to him, this bill would provide significant tax cuts to lower-income households. Specifically, he mentioned that households earning between $15,000-$30,000 would see a 21% tax cut; those earning $30,001-$50,000 would receive a 16% cut; and incomes ranging from $50,001-$100,000 would benefit from a 13% reduction.
