Representative Jason Smith, who has served Missouri’s 8th District in the U.S. Congress since 2013 and previously represented his state in the Missouri House of Representatives, recently shared a series of posts highlighting key provisions of "The One, Big, Beautiful Bill." Smith, born in St. Louis in 1980 and currently residing in Salem, emphasized the bill's economic impact on investment, small businesses, and domestic manufacturing.

On July 10, 2025, Smith stated that "The One, Big, Beautiful Bill makes 100% immediate expensing permanent—fueling investment, innovation, and growth across the American economy."

Later that day on July 10, he posted that "The One, Big, Beautiful Bill makes the 20% Small Business Deduction permanent for 30 million small businesses. This tax relief allows small businesses to invest in their businesses and grow."

In another post on July 10 at 21:20 UTC he wrote that "The One, Big, Beautiful Bill incentivizes building new factories in America. Domestic manufacturing growth strengthens supply chains and creates skilled jobs."

Smith holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Missouri (2001) and a Juris Doctor from Oklahoma City University (2004). He replaced Jo Ann Emerson as representative for Missouri’s 8th district in Congress.
