Rep. Jason Smith, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Missouri’s 8th district, has recently posted a series of tweets criticizing Democratic policies and political developments.

On November 3, 2025, Smith wrote: "Democrats aren’t even trying to hide it anymore. They’re using the American people's pain as leverage to try to advance a liberal agenda — including funding health care for illegal immigrants, trillions in new spending, and slashing rural health care. They’re playing politics, https://t.co/898sFrglQc"

The following day, on November 4, 2025, he commented on recent news from Georgia: "The New Georgia Project shutting down is just more proof of the corruption scheme to prop up Georgia’s Grifter in Chief’s failed gubernatorial campaigns. https://t.co/Uv9y87VE0l https://t.co/d2vkebcBEu"

On November 5, 2025, Smith addressed election results and Democratic leadership: "If last night’s results show us one thing: Democrats continue to run further in a radical, socialist direction with AOC and Mamdani leading the way - and with Washington Democrats following along. https://t.co/JQu4vQuHWE"

Smith has served in Congress since 2013 after replacing Jo Ann Emerson and previously served in the Missouri House of Representatives from 2005 to 2013. Born in St Louis in 1980 and currently residing in Salem, Smith holds degrees from the University of Missouri (BS) and Oklahoma City University (JD).
