62 percent of applicants to Southeast Missouri Hospital College of Nursing and Health Sciences were admitted for fall 2018

At Southeast Missouri Hospital College of Nursing and Health Sciences, 55 percent of undergraduate students are nontraditional students - age 25 or older - and 85 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Cape Girardeau enrolled 175 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 31.4 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

90 percent of undergraduates are residents of Missouri, and 10 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (95 percent) and Black or African American (2 percent).

The school admitted 62 percent of the 116 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 14 percent enrolled.
