U.S. Senator Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) has responded to recent reports alleging that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), under President Joe Biden's administration, conducted surveillance on several Republican lawmakers. According to these reports, the FBI tapped into private communications and phone calls as part of an investigation known as “Arctic Frost.”
Senator Hawley issued a statement regarding the situation: "The truth comes out. Biden’s Stasi who claimed to be saving 'our sacred democracy' in fact worked overtime to destroy it – all for power. They spied on Catholic churches, prosecuted pro-lifers, deployed the FBI against parents at school board meetings – and tried to tap the…" The senator shared this message on social media.
The lawmakers reportedly targeted by the FBI include Senators Josh Hawley (R-Mo.), Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), Bill Hagerty (R-Tenn.), Dan Sullivan (R-Alaska), Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.), Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), Cynthia Lummis (R-Wyo.), Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.), and Representative Mike Kelly (R-Pa.).
