Jason Smith was born in St Louis, Missouri in 1980 and currently resides in Salem. He graduated from the University of Missouri with a BS degree in 2001 and earned a JD from Oklahoma City University in 2004. Before joining Congress in 2013 following Jo Ann Emerson's tenure, he served in the Missouri House of Representatives from 2005 to 2013.
