Rep. Jason Smith, a U.S. Congressman representing Missouri's 8th district since 2013, shared insights on the "One, Big Beautiful Bill" and its implications for American taxpayers through a series of tweets. Born in St. Louis, Missouri in 1980, Smith has been active in politics since serving in the Missouri House of Representatives from 2005 to 2013 before his current role.

On July 3, 2025, Rep. Smith tweeted about the "One, Big Beautiful Bill", stating that it fulfills President Trump's promise to "make America great again." He highlighted that this bill delivers the largest tax cut for farmers, families, workers, and small business owners in American history.

In another tweet posted on July 3, 2025, he discussed the impact of the 2017 Trump Tax Cuts on small- and medium-sized family farms. According to Smith, these farms saw their effective tax rates decrease by up to six percent following the enactment of these cuts. He warned that if these rates and brackets expire, farm households could see their tax liabilities increase by nearly twelve percent.

Additionally, Rep. Smith addressed concerns regarding the 199A Small Business Deduction. He stated that if this deduction is allowed to expire, family farms utilizing it would face an increase in their tax bill by $2,500. The "One, Big Beautiful Bill," as per his statement, aims to make this deduction permanent for family farmers.
