In his first tweet posted at 08:10 AM, Rep. Smith highlighted that "The One, Big, Beautiful Bill helps farmland stay in farming production." He explained that by reducing the tax burden on America's agricultural land, the bill seeks to ensure that American land remains productive for future generations of farmers and producers.

A subsequent tweet at 08:14 AM focused on changes to the reporting threshold for Form 1099-MISC. According to Rep. Smith, "By raising the 1099-MISC threshold from $600 to $2,000," the bill aims to lower "the administrative burden for small farmers and ranchers employing temporary and seasonal workers or small on-farm contract jobs."

In another post at 08:20 AM, Rep. Smith emphasized extending former President Trump's tax cuts as part of the bill's provisions. He stated this would "make rural America great again after neglect under Joe Biden."

Jason Smith was born in St Louis, Missouri in 1980 and currently resides in Salem. A graduate of the University of Missouri with a BS degree in 2001 and a JD from Oklahoma City University in 2004, he served in the Missouri House of Representatives from 2005 until joining Congress.
