Rep. Jason Smith, a current member of the U.S. Congress representing Missouri’s 8th district, shared insights on "The One, Big, Beautiful Bill" through a series of tweets on July 3, 2025. Smith has been serving in Congress since 2013 after replacing Jo Ann Emerson and previously served in the Missouri House of Representatives from 2005 to 2013.

In his first tweet on July 3, Rep. Smith highlighted the financial benefits for families: "For a typical family with two children, The One, Big, Beautiful Bill increases annual take-home pay by $10,900, giving families more financial flexibility."

Later that day, he emphasized the bill's impact on employment: "The One, Big, Beautiful Bill protects or creates up to 7.2 million jobs, with 1.4 million of those jobs specifically in the manufacturing sector."

Finally, Smith discussed the broader economic implications: "By delivering a 4.9% higher level of real GDP in the first four years, The One, Big, Beautiful Bill fosters economic growth and job creation."

Jason Smith was born in St Louis in 1980 and currently resides in Salem. He holds a BS from the University of Missouri and a JD from Oklahoma City University.
