Rep. Jason Smith, a U.S. Congressman representing Missouri’s 8th district since 2013, recently used his social media platform to highlight the passage of “The One, Big, Beautiful Bill” and its implications for American families and businesses.

On July 26, 2025, Smith posted: "Democrats showed their neglect for the working class when they voted against The One, Big, Beautiful Bill. On July 27, Smith referenced former President Trump’s previous visit to the Reagan Library: "10 years ago at the Reagan Library, President Trump promised the American people to deliver historic tax relief, and he did. Smith has been active in Congress since replacing Jo Ann Emerson in 2013. Before his congressional tenure representing Missouri's 8th District—an area he continues to serve—he was a member of the Missouri House of Representatives from 2005 until his move to Congress. Born in St Louis in 1980 and currently residing in Salem at age 42 as of this writing (2024), Smith holds degrees from both the University of Missouri (BS) and Oklahoma City University (JD).
