Census Bureau: 78.7% of people in St. Francois County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 67,168 citizens living in St. Francois County in 2021, 78.7% were old enough to vote, equating to 52,868 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 28,840 were male, constituting 54.6%, and 24,028 were female, making up 45.4%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in St. Francois County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 77.3%.
